Job description 

GMB is a large trade union that organises across the UK and Ireland; we’re proud to represent over 460,000 members across the professional spectrum. 

A vacancy has arisen within GMB London Region for a Support Worker to join their team working collaboratively in the Region’s Hayes office.

The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support needs of regional officers, as well as working closely and collaboratively with the wider regional secretarial and administrative team, to ensure a smooth and efficient running of all regional business.

This is a dynamic role that will allow the successful candidate to be actively involved in all areas of the region’s activities, including supporting the teams out on demonstrations and campaigns and taking a leading role in handling all aspects of the Hayes office team’s social media activity.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a strong multi-tasker
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Have strong administrative skills and experience
  • Be highly organised with a high degree of initiative
  • Possess strong IT skills
