Protecting School Support Staff
GMB is committed to improving health and safety standards in schools and academies.
We are fighting for zero tolerance to violence and abuse in schools, ensuring all staff are protected and supported. Abuse is not part of the job.
We are also aware that school support staff are being asked to provide medical assistance to children when it is not their responsibility, and without proper training. We are calling for an NHS led service with trained nurses in all state funded schools.
