GMB London support march against UK visit of President Donald Trump

We believe the invitation to President Trump for a state visit was a major error and an insult to the vast majority of the UK’s population, says GMB London

GMB are encouraging members to join the march in London tomorrow (13 July) against the UK visit of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Details of the march are as follows:

Warren Kenny, GMB Regional Secretary said:

“GMB are aware of the odious, vile racist behaviour and comments and tweets of Donald Trump and believe the invitation to him for a state visit was a major error and an insult to the vast majority of the UK’s population.

“The President is a divisive figure who, amongst other misdemeanours, has supported racist groups, marginalised non-white citizens, threatened other states, and is fuelling an arms race.

“We want to express our total opposition to such a visit and are encouraging branches and members to actively oppose this visit by attending this march.”
