Heathrow third runway plan approval 'an important next step'

GMB London Region has welcomed news that the government has backed Heathrow’s plan for a third runway.

Perry Phillips, GMB Regional Officer, said:

“GMB welcomes this decision, which is an important next step on the path to building Heathrow’s third runway.

“Now we have a way forward, it’s time to get on and start building it.

“The sooner the third runway is in operation, the sooner this country can enjoy the boost it will bring for good jobs and economic growth.”
