Security workers at Sizewell C win four years 'missing' holiday pay

 

Security workers at Sizewell C have won up to four years' worth of 'missing' holiday pay after intervention from their union, GMB.

 

The workers, who are employed by G4S, voiced concerns with GMB that they may have not received their full holiday pay entitlement after a change in legislation saw overtime factored into holiday pay calculations.

 

GMB raised the matter with G4S, who, after a review, concluded that some employees were entitled to additional holiday pay.

 

 

"This is a fantastic win for our members and a great example of what can be achieved when members raise issues with their union.

 

"Once we learned of our members' concerns around missing holiday pay, we worked together in good faith with the employer to find solutions.

 

"GMB wants to acknowledge G4S's constructive approach and thanks it for its commitment to working with the union to resolve this issue."
