TSSA trade union staff are taking a day of strike action on Tuesday 30 April, after management failed to enter constructive talks at ACAS

In a dispute over a “culture of bullying, harassment and victimisation” over 93 per cent of GMB members voted to take strike action in a turnout of over 85 per cent.

The Transport & Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA), General Secretary and management have failed to act on complaints of bullying and harassment of staff or to implement the recommendations of the Kennedy and Conley Reports to deal with the serious management and cultural issues identified in the TSSA.

Danny Adilypour, GMB London Regional Organiser said:

“GMB members at the TSSA have been forced into taking this industrial action.

“Instead of attempting to address the concerns raised or enter meaningful ACAS facilitated talks with our members, Maryam Eslamdoust, the TSSA General Secretary has instead chosen to smear GMB members at the union with unfounded allegations in media interviews.

“The General Secretary has also attacked her employees for organising industrially, which is an astonishing situation for a trade union.

“TSSA’s General Secretary must accept the concerns that her employees have raised and agree to enter into meaningful talks through ACAS to resolve the serious managerial and organisational problems that have led our members to take this action.”
