Workers at Crane Building Services and Utilities (BS&U) in Hitchin have won their dispute over pay.
The staff, who are represented by GMB, voted 91 per cent in favour of accepting a two year pay deal, worth 6 per cent each year.
The improved deal came after two weeks of strike action over the initial offer of 3 per cent.
The dispute is now closed.
A GMB member working at Crane BS&U said:
"The atmosphere across the workplace has been noticeably positive since the agreement was reached.
"Members have expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the union and for the strength shown by colleagues who stood together throughout the campaign.
"This victory has not only delivered an improved pay settlement but has also strengthened confidence in the collective voice of the workforce.”
Andre Marques, GMB Regional Officer, said:
“This is a fantastic result and a testament to what can be achieved when workers stand united.
"From the outset, members demonstrated resilience and solidarity, and this has led directly to a much-improved pay offer.
"Every member involved should be proud of the role they have played in reaching this agreement.”
