Little Discoverers, in King’s Lynn, is a Charity that provides free two-hour weekly group sessions of specialist early education for children from birth to five years who have motor learning difficulties and delayed development.

On Tuesday 19th March, Jan Smith GMB Branch Secretary, Heather Hamblin and Harry Clarke of GMB’s East Dereham branch visited Little Discoverers to present a cheque for £200 that was raised by the GMB's stall at the Burston Strike School Rally in  September 2023. The East Dereham branch also donated £50 to the charity.

Jan, Heather and Harry gave a brief talk explaining who they were and information about the Burston Strike School, the longest-running strike in history. They also spent some time with parents and children, discovering how and why the Charity was so important in providing such a specialist service.

Jan Smith, GMB East Dereham Branch Secretary said:

“Kat Hunt and the Team were delighted to receive the donations and sincerely thanked us. I would urge other Organisations to consider this worthy cause. On behalf of Harry, Heather and myself, we wish Little Discoverers continued success with the good work they do for these children who benefit from the Charity.
