GMB members across England, Wales & Northern Ireland have voted to reject the 2023/24 Local Government pay offer.

64% of GMB Members nationally voted to reject the offer of £1,925 (pro rata for part time and term time only workers)

Next Steps.

Following GMB members rejection of the pay offer GMB are calling on the Local Government Association (LGA) to return to the table and make an improved offer that is in line with inflation and is not real terms pay cut.

GMB are also calling on central government to provide the funding for this pay rise as the pay offer even as it stands is not affordable in existing budgets for Local Authorities and Schools.

GMB will be in touch very soon with more information on the next steps and how you can get involved.
