NJC Member Update
Dear Member,
GMB would like to thank all members who took part in the recent NJC Industrial Action Ballot.
Whilst it is clear members are angry and frustrated at the low pay offer and concerned at the lack of funding for any increase, this has not translated into GMB being able to take effective industrial action.
All members whose workplaces/employer were included in the Ballot have now been notified of their workplace result and GMB has notified the National Employer of these.
Therefore, all Local Authorities and employers that follow the NJC can now make the necessary arrangements to implement the 2023/24 pay award backdated to the 1st April 2023.
