GMB and parents discuss the crisis at Bangabandhu School
GMB is the biggest union in schools for support staff.
Our members are teaching assistants, midday supervisors, site managers, catering staff, cleaning staff, technical support staff, librarians, administrators, business managers.
We not only represent our members at school but we campaign to improve working conditions.
The Schools Team
We have a designated team who look after members in schools. we visit schools every day right across London region.
Stop the Cuts
Our education system is facing the most brutal and damaging cuts we have seen in years. We know our members working in already cash strapped schools will bear the brunt of this unless we fight these devastating funding cuts. We need to stand together if we are going to save our schools, jobs and the education of millions of children.
We want to visit your school and hear what your concerns are. We want to tell you about GMB's campaign to stop these cuts and how you can get involved. It is up to all of us to stop our education system being run into the ground.
Allegations have increased hugely over the past decade and it is vital that if an allegation is made you contact us immediately to get advice and representation. please encourage colleagues who are not members to join so they are protected at work.

The government has introduced a new anti-trade union law which is designed to take away GMB membership. If you’re paying your GMB contributions directly from your wages, you could lose your GMB membership unless you switch to direct debit payments.
It's quick and easy to Switch to Direct Debit. Just follow this link http://www.gmb.org.uk/switch-to-direct-debit and log in to fill out your personal and account details in our secure members area to perform the switch. It's that simple.
If you require further assistance in this switch over please contact our membership department at email@example.com
