GMB's Jewish Faith Workers Branch is dedicated solely to representing Jewish faith workers: including those working in and around synagogues, Jewish burials and other associated workplaces.

We represent members across the UK, in every denomination, and are entirely member-led; all branch positions are held by members working within the community.

WHY A JEWISH FAITH WORKERS’ BRANCH?

We started our branch because too many workers in the community face insecure work, increasing responsibilities and unclear contractual terms.

Our branch comprises members from across the community from every denomination, representing both lay and clergy staff.

We believe that all workers deserve to be protected at work and we should be no exception.

We are proud to be a branch run by and for Jewish faith workers.

HOW CAN WE SUPPORT YOU?

By being a member of the branch, you are entitled to support including:

• Advice and support at work
• Representation and support at formal meetings like grievances and disciplinaries
• Legal advice and support from our dedicated legal team
• Personal injury, accidental death cover, and free personal wills

As a general union, we can support you wherever you work – your synagogue or other workplace does not have to have recognition arrangements in place.
