GMB hold protest outside William Torbitt Primary School in Redbridge on Monday 11 February against academisation following ‘good’ Ofsted report

William Torbitt Primary schools recent 'good’ rating shows that this school can go from strength to strength, says GMB London

GMB will be holding a protest on Monday 11 February outside the William Torbitt Primary School in Redbridge against the school becoming an academy. GMB has called on Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP to retract his recommendation for the school to become an academy following its ‘good’ rating in a recent Ofsted report.

Attendance at the protest comes from Wes Streeting MP for Ilford North, GMB membership, NEU staff, and the local community.

“GMB are calling on the Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP retract his recommendation with immediate effect. He is always welcome to come and meet us all to discuss it.
