GMB London Region respond to Labour resignations

We remain committed to ensuring that a Labour government of social justice, fairness and equality is in the best interest of our members, says GMB London

GMB London Region have responded to the resignation has responded to this morning’s (18 February) resignations by seven Labour MPs. [See notes to editors for GMB Union’s national press release]

Vaughan West, GMB London Region Political Officer said:

“GMB London Region is extremely disappointed that two Labour MPs, from within our region, Mike Gapes and Gavin Shuker, have chosen to leave the Labour Party and join the Independent Group.

“GMB London Region remains committed to ensuring that a Labour government of social justice, fairness and equality is in the best interest of our members and a very small group of MPs are putting that at risk.”
