GMB support today’s strike against Uber Eats decrease in fees of £2.50 per delivery drop for drivers and demand it to be raised to £5
Uber Eats has heaped more misery on the drivers with reductions masked as increases, says GMB London Region
GMB, the union for professional drivers, are to hold a demonstration today outside Uber Eats head office in Aldgate East against the decrease of delivery fees to £2.50 per drop and demand it to be raised to £5.
Details of the protest are as follows:
Monday 24th September
13:30
Beaufort House, 15 St Botolph St,
EC3A 7DT
Steve Garelick, Regional Officer said:
“Despite the fact that delivery drivers for Uber Eats work in some of the most hostile and challenging conditions Uber Eats has heaped more misery on the drivers with reductions masked as increases.
“People now expect food to be delivered on demand without the human cost that goes with such a service.
“Uber must sit up and listen to those who provide this service and act quick as 1000 drivers are expected to join the protest today.”
